When you return an item, its purchase amount will be removed from your annual purchase balance. If you have not purchased the minimum amount required to maintain your Rewards status by your membership anniversary date, your Rewards status will be adjusted accordingly. In the first year however, your Rewards status can drop when you return a purchase that lowers your annual purchase amount below the requirement for that status.
